Alessio Bernardelli
MSc, CSciTeach – Founder
Alessio has 15 years of teaching experience and has worked as Head of KS3 Science for five years. He also worked as Field Development Officer for NGfL Cymru, as Science Subject Lead at TSL Education (TES) and as National Support Programme Partner in Wales with CfBT. Alessio won a number of national and international education awards for the innovative and creative way he integrates emerging technologies in education. One of these awards is the Microsoft Worldwide Innovative Education Forum, 2007. Alessio is an accredited Microsoft Peer Coaching Facilitator, one of few Partners In Learning Top Tiered Teachers worldwide, a TASC Framework Specialist, an Official iMindMap Leader and a Teacher Network Coordinator for the Institute of Physics, as well as one of the Editors of TalkPhysics.org. Alessio is currently working part-time as Teaching and Learning Coach and Mentor in Gloucestershire with The Institute of Physics. He has recently completed an MSc in Teacher Education at the University of Oxford and he is a Chartered Science Teacher (CSciTeach).

Dave Ashton
Math teacher and Google Certified Teacher
Dave is an outstanding mathematics teacher with a passion for using technology to help his students not only to achieve their desirable target grade, but further exceed them. He believes that when technology is incorporated in the classroom via the SAMR model and learning is supported outside the classroom via a flipped learning environment, you will be amazed by the progress your learners can make. Dave has worked on the development of Numerical Reasoning resources for KS3 that are proving to raise standards in his department. You will be able to access these valuable resources through Dave’s Numerical Reasoning Twilights.
Sam Jordan
Science Teacher
Sam is a Physics teacher with 10 years teaching experience of KS3 to KS5 (11-18) consistently achieving outstanding results at all ability ranges and age groups. He has 8 Years experience of teaching A-level physics. Sam has also taught Spanish, Chemistry and Electronics to GCSE level and held posts of Acting Head of Physics, Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning, Gifted & Talented coordinator, Year 10 Curriculum leader, Head of Careers, Acting Head of 6th Form and currently House-Master at Stamford School. Sam is proficient in the reading, speaking and writing of Spanish and speak other european languages fluently. His ability to clinically evaluate educational resources in a range of languages and ensure they match their national curricula is a great asset for our international projects.
Alex More
PE Trainer
Alex has been a teacher for 11 years delivering Physical Education to thousands of young minds aged 11-18. He has taught A-Level, GCSE PE & BTEC Awards in Sport and is currently Head of PE at Shaftesbury School. Alex has worked with a diverse range of students in various schools and is always looking for innovation to drive his teaching forward, he helps drive whole school teaching and learning in his current post. Projects such as the invisible connection, competitive working teams and the stuck menu have helped create curiosity in the classroom long after Alex has left and he is passionate about finding new ways to engage learners and improve teaching. Alex’s department were recently awarded the afPE award with distinction in PE for continued excellence in management, curriculum development and teaching of PE.
Diana Bee
Science Trainer
Diana has been teaching high school Science for 10 years, specialising in Physics. Always strongly involved in school life, she believes in a holistic approach to teaching and learning. Described as ‘inspirational’ by her students and Head of Faculty she believes in creating an environment where it is ok to ask questions, be wrong, and have fun, as these are the times when learning happens naturally and with the most retention. Diana became involved in action research projects with the Science Learning Centre 5 years ago, and realised she enjoyed educational research. She recently received an MA in Teaching and Learning with the University of Huddersfield. Here, she had the opportunity to study the impacts handheld technology and social media could have on learning.
Sarah Stretton
Science Trainer
Sarah was a Science Adviser in ERW for a number of years and promoted Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics, STEM by supporting, advising and challenging Head teachers, teachers and pupils in science. She designed and presented courses for teachers both in primary and secondary schools to update their skills. Working with a team of other subject advisers, especially Mathematics/numeracy, English/literacy and ICT has ensured that she has kept informed of current initiatives. Sarah has maintained her own professional development through attending many Wales consortium courses, PISA training and also ESTYN Additional Inspector training. She has had regular in-school contact with classes from age 3 to 18, as well has working as an examiner for GCSE Science and Chemistry.
José Popoff
Science Teacher
José is an award winning teacher from Honduras and he has implemented a range of new and fresh techniques for effective teaching and learning in his classroom as well as by sharing his work internationally through a variety of social media platforms and collaborative tools. As an IT integrator to his classroom, he encourages the use of technology in education among his peers and international colleagues. Jose has established positive and productive communications with people from around the world, through meaningful classroom connections. He has conducted international, interactive webinars with very positive feedback and follow up. José strongly believes in the positive impact of social media to pedagogical practice and he reinforces its positive use among his students through innovative and creative projects.
Hannah Parry
PE Trainer
Hannah has taught Physical Education for 15 years, teaching from reception through to Yr 13. She taught A-level, GCSE PE and Dance, Btec PE and Dance as well as teaching PE in Primary Schools. Hannah has been Head of Girls PE for two years before becoming a Head of House. More recently she has become involved in the development of using iPads to enhance her teaching in Physical Education and support whole PE Departments in implementing iPads in their learning and teaching.
Ross Fairbairn
PE Trainer
From London city life to teaching Ross has developed many skills over his professional career. He has taught A-Level, GCSE PE & BTEC Awards in Sport over his teaching career. Since starting his journey within teaching Ross has drawn upon technology to develop a personal learning network through social media. Using this keen interest in how technology can be used as a tool to enhance learning Ross has integrated it into his everyday teaching to enrich student’s learning, whilst also providing school insets to PE departments across the South Coast.
