Join us in our brand new and highly innovative training experience designed to develop literacy skills through sector leading iPad integration in primary schools (both in the Foundation Phase and KS2). Most primary schools have invested in the kit, but the classroom teacher often gets left behind, because they are struggling to keep up with the pace at which the technology moves. Any iPad integration plan, if it is to be effective and lead to improved standards, must adequately embed teacher training as a key part of the investment. Failing to do so will result in very expensive kit being forgotten, or simply used as substitute for old tasks designed for old technology.
Our Developing Literacy through iPads training experience offers sector leading use of iPads to develop literacy skills through innovative resources that are relevant to your learners and to many themes and rich tasks already adopted by many primary schools. The resource pack accompanying the training day is a teacher’s pack with lesson plans and easy to understand guides for educators to maximise the use of the apps we will introduce at the course. There are clear curriculum links that will help you to demonstrate how you can use this resource to develop the literacy skills in the Literacy Framework, as well as in the new English Programme of Study.
This course is ideal if you are planning your CPD expenditure using your School Effectiveness Grant (SEG) and/or your Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG).
